Prohibited Items

1. Never send these

You must not post a job for any of the following, and couriers must not carry them.

• Weapons: firearms, ammunition, replica or imitation firearms, and other weapons.
• Dangerous goods: explosives, fireworks, flammable or corrosive liquids and gases, other hazardous goods, and damaged batteries.
• Illegal drugs and other controlled substances.
• Alcohol, tobacco, vapes and other age-restricted goods. [OWNER TO CONFIRM: whether an age-check process will be added; until then these are not accepted]
• Cash and high-value items: money, jewellery, bank or payment cards, cheques, identity documents and passports.
• Live animals and human remains.
• Stolen or counterfeit goods.
• Indecent or obscene material.
• Anything that is illegal to send, carry or possess.
• Perishable goods that need temperature control (for example fresh food or medicines that must be kept cold), unless this has been agreed in advance.

2. Size, weight and value limits

Vendaru couriers are individuals in ordinary vehicles, so parcels must be small enough to handle safely. Our proposed limits:

• Size: the parcel must be carryable by one person in a normal car.
• Weight: up to 30 kg.
• Declared value: up to £500, unless agreed in advance.

Anything above the limits is not accepted.

3. Couriers may refuse a parcel

A courier may refuse to take, or to carry on with, any parcel they reasonably suspect breaks these rules or is unsafe. Couriers do not open parcels, so please describe the contents honestly. We don't check what is inside a parcel, so you are responsible for what you send.

4. If a rule is broken

If we find, or are told, that a prohibited item has been sent, we may cancel the job, suspend the account, and tell the police or another authority where the law requires or where it is needed to keep someone safe.
